Summer vacation is winding down rapidly for students in the Fort Zumwalt School District. 

Buses will be out bright and early on Wednesday, Aug. 15, for the first day of school. Last year, Zumwalt students had the first day of class on Aug. 17.

Barring any snow days, the projected last day of school falls on Friday, May 17, 2013. Other highlights of the calendar include:

• Fall break begins Wednesday, Nov. 21. Students return to class Monday, Nov. 26.
• Winter break will run from Dec. 24 to Jan. 1. Students will be back in class on Wednesday, Jan. 2. 
• Spring break is scheduled for March 29 to April 5.
