Bites Nearby: Grab Some Pizza

Looking for something to eat at your Super Bowl party? St. Peters Patch has you covered.

You could stand on a corner and look around until a restaurant sign draws you in. But we've got a better idea. Each week, St. Peters Patch picks a great restaurant either in town or nearby that is worth checking out. Here's this week's choice:

Imo's Pizza

It's Super Bowl week and no Super Bowl is complete without pizza. I'm a firm believer that there is no such thing as a bad pizza. A nice slice of pizza—and I mean real pizza not a salad on bread—just makes sense while watching football.

St. Peters has plenty of places to get good pizza, but one place stands out to me. After spending the first 19 years of my life in the St. Louis area, I went to college and got a job outside of the metro area. The result? Six years without easy access to the Imo's.  Before relocating to St. Peters, I probably only ate Imo's four times in six years. Not enough.

Imo's really is a St. Louis thing and I get that. It's not for everyone—I have college friends who weren't a fan. But I grew up on it and I love. The cheese, the crust the little square pieces—all are good.

This Sunday I'm going to sit down on the couch in front of my TV, crack open an ice cold Coca-Cola and grab some Imo's. It's going to be a good day, no matter who wins the big game.

312 Jungermann Rd. 636-441-4667. Open daily for lunch and dinner.
