BMX Challenge Event Coming to St. Peters in September
The annual event takes place on Sept. 22 from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m.
BMX riders in St. Peters have three weeks to get ready for the annual BMX Challenge.
On Saturday, Sept. 22, the city of St. Peters will host a BMX challenge at nationally sanctioned BMX Track in Brown Road Park. The nighttime event takes place from 5 p.m. 10 p.m.—the park has evening lights. The event is open to ages 5 to adult.
The St. Peters Rangers Division, along with Momentum Cycles, are sponsoring the event. Riders in the contest will receive a medal and participants will have the chance to win a BMX bicycle as an attendance prize.
Riders can register in advance by calling 636-939-2386, ext. 1400, or using the Rec-Connect feature online at www.stpetersmo.net. Registration is also open the day of the event. The cost to register is $5.
Participants need to bring their own bike and helmet. Participants are also required to wear either elbow pads or kneepads, or wear a long sleeve shirt and full-length pants.
Brown Road Park is located at 100 Brown Road in Old Town St. Peters.
