Central Country Fire and Rescue to Offer CERT Training in January
CCFR will host an eight-week program to train the Community Emergency Response Team.
Registration is already underway for the next Community Emergency Response Team training course.
The St. Peters/Central County Fire and Rescue will be hosting an eight-week class to help train interesting individuals.
Participants at the CERT training will be issued emergency preparedness equipment and a student manual. The training will give participants hands-on training on how to deal with the following topics:
- Disaster preparedness
- Fire safety/suppression
- Disaster medical operations
- Light search and rescue
- Team organization
- Disaster psychology
- Hands on disaster exercise
The CERT training begins Jan. 18, 2011 and ends on March 8, 2011. Classes will take place each Thursday evening from 7 p.m. until 10 p.m. The classes will be at the Central County Fire and Rescue Fire Station No. 3 located at 511 Willott Road.

The registration fee is $25 and the course is limited to the first 25 registrations received.
