Drug Task Force Finds Eight Pounds of Marijuana in Woman's Home
Detectives said they also found drug sale ledgers, $3,300 in cash, and items used to sell marijuana in the home.
St. Charles County Drug Task Force detectives found more than 8 pounds of marijuana in a woman’s home in St. Peters Tuesday.
Angela Marie Miller, 32, of the 1400 block of Sandra Elaine Drive in St. Peters, was charged Wednesday with distributing a controlled substance and unlawful use of drug-related items.
Drug Task Force detectives served a search warrant on Miller’s home Tuesday and found 8 pounds and 7.5 ounces of marijuana in her bedroom closet. According to the report, most of the marijuana was in large, heat-sealed plastic bags, but several bags were being condensed into smaller bags for sale.
Detectives said they found several ledgers documenting marijuana sales for thousands of dollars and money order receipts for transfer of funds believed to be from marijuana sales.
They also found drug-related items such as marijuana pipes, foil pipes, digital scales, sandwich bags and a heat-sealing machine in Miller’s bedroom.
A safe under her bed contained $3,300, which was seized pending forfeiture, the report said.
Bail for Miller was set at $20,000, cash only.

Thankfully, this desperado will appear in court to answer for these heinous offenses. Thus, saving America's women and children from a degenerate such as this.
This is pathetic.
Law enforcement needs to re-direct its focus on crimes... to those that are REAL crimes.
I spent 5 years in Federal Prison for a marijuana offense. While I was there, I watched armed bank robbers come and go in as little as 20 months.
After 3 years 'behind the wall,' I pointed this out to the parole board. Their response: “You must understand, yours was a very serious offense.”
How do you respond to that mentality?
I laughed about the parole panel's comment for 2 more years (as I still sat in prison), then wrote my book:
Shoulda Robbed a Bank
No, it is not a treatise on disproportionate sentences ...but tales of the escapades that led to my incarceration. I admit, I had a great time. No one was injured, no one was killed, firearms were not involved...there were no victims.
We were Americans pursuing happiness in our own way. Harming no one...nor their property.
That’s my contribution to helping point out just how ludicrous our pot laws truly are.
I would be honored by your review.
I wish Ms. Miller a speedy and complete exoneration...Jury Nullification

Well said.. You know, a black man can be POTUS, Gays can be married legally, Women are CEO"s, but pot is "still" viewed as a horrible felony and must be eliminated at all costs. Seems we are progressing is some areas and not in others. Two States finally legalized recreational use. It's way past due that the rest of the States and Federal Gov't stops this nonsense and legalizes rec use as well.

I copied this comment from another website.
"I am a disabled Army Veteran and smoke marijuana strictly for medical purposes. I never smoked before I broke my back in the military and it hasen't been a gateway to anything. I started smoking because of my cauda equina syndrome.
I had a herniated disk in my lower back that compressed the nerves at the lower end of my spine (cauda equina nerves). The doctors couldn't prevent permanent damage, so I am left with permanent pain that is so severe that it leads to vomiting on a consistant basis without my medacine (marijuana). The doctors prescribed me morphine, oxycodone, oxymorphone, oxycotton, hydromorphone, hydrocodone, etc... All of the above named meda...
cines made me useless, I hardly knew what was happening around me. On top of that, they didnt help with the pain or the vomiting from the pain. I felt like bugs were crawling under my skin.
After complaining about this for a while, friends and family handed me cannabis. I was reluctant at first, due to the stigma that goes along with it. After I gave it a try, I realized that it was far and away a better solution than any of the above named DRUGS. I had none of the issues with cannabis that I had with all those other PHARMACEUTICAL DRUGS. I can function and carry on with my life. Marijuana has made me a better person and a far more functional parent and husband."
I think anyone who would deny this veteran comfort should be ran out of the country.

These druggies should be eliminated from the face of this planet. Suggestion, if drugs are so good for you then whenever an arrest is made similar to this then have the perpetrator ingest all of the " evidence " then turn them loose. Hopefully to the Mortuary.

You druggies are disgusting and a cancer to America. You are too stupid to understand the killings going on by the drug cartel. Drugs on the streets are not a
situation that is harmless but again your stupidity blocks your view. The real war on drugs would be the on the spot assassination of any one caught with illigal drugs on their person. Anyone of you pro-druggies would be a good starting place.

Why is'big pharma' not being prosecuted?
In 2009, 26,000 deaths from prescription medicines.
Deaths caused by marijuana...not a single one in recorded history.
Our nation was founded upon freedom of the individual. Each of our citizens was guaranteed the right to the pursuit of happiness...so long as he brings no harm to his fellow citizens or their property.
When did this change?

Just to play devils-advocate because I don't really care one way or the other. Legalization makes that "cartel violence" go away.
You used that violence as a reason to keep fighting that battle and continue that violence. Think about what you are saying instead of letting your emotions take over, causing you to promote killing people, all while calling others stupid.
Just pointing it out.

I don't understand why the drug task force is wasting their time on marijuana. It seems to me that heroin is the major problem these days. Just in my circle of friends I've seen several heroin related deaths in the last year or two. I don't understand why more isn't being done. Marijuana seems harmless to me. I don't personally care one way or the other, but I surely don't hear about people smoking it and killing people or getting in fights or dying.... Just saying....

Devon, legalizing in the U.S will not stop the killings in Mexico. The cartel will still control distribution in the U.S. and poison pot will hit the U.S., streets big time. William Braudis...
I wager that the most vehement anti-marijuana commentators are users of prescription medications. They are out of touch with reality, will not listen to reason, are belligerent, rude, crude, obnoxious, and espouse undocumented or blatantly false manure.
Most exhibit 7 of the 12 'potential side effects' of an adverse reaction to prescription medications.
Perhaps the most noteworthy jaundice that they have in common: Absolutely NO tolerance for the concept of 'freedom.'
I think, William Braudis, that you may be having an adverse reaction to your medications. You may want to have those checked...
Again, I wish you the best...

William Braudis,
It is you who have no idea what you're talking about. I know plenty of people that smoke and are very productive and valuable members of society.
If you're theory held any weight, the cartels would be selling alcohol on a massive scale, but that's not happening because you're wrong.

ne1ne, like others inputing this subject, you just do not get it. There is no safe illigal drug. You really cannot believe that you are in control of yourself when you are high.
And, oh yes ne1ne, I also know of productive people that are on the hard stuff and they, like each of you, but at a higher level, still feel that nothing is wrong and this junk should also be legalized. Each of you will reach that higher level of drug taking when maryjane no longer satisfies, which is possibly closer than you expect.

You people can raise hell and call each other names all you want on this web page the fact still remains Pot is illegal. You people that want it legalized tell it to your Congressman. The only way it will change is through public pressure and opinion. But good luck with that because it has come before the statehouse before and failed and probably will again. Instead of fighting a battle that will not be won fight to have Pot decriminalized. Then every kinda wins the propot people don't go to prison and the anti=pot people still has some control over the substance and everyone can stop wasting time and money pursuing a subject that no one can win. Pot should be handled the same as Beer or other adult beverage

Mr. Strickien, thank you for not hiding behind some acronym. I am not attempting to " break your bones ", I am attempting to share with you and others adding to this comment the truth that the day is coming where you will no longer find what you are seeking from smoking or eating maryjane. You will than tell yourself that there are other drugs that will pick you up where the weed no longer works. You will try a small amount and again find that it will give you a real treat, so the next time you will try a little more, while telling yourself I'll stop any tine that I wish. Now you will be off and running for your first Golden Arm.

I smoked my first joint in December, 1967, at the tender age of 21.
Now, a mere 45 years later, I still smoke pot. I have never 'graduated' to 'harder' drugs.
I am living proof that prohibitionist propaganda is a fallacy...a blatant lie.
The worst experience I had with marijuana was spending 5 years in Federal Prison for a pot offense.
If you were educated in the United States, do you recall the concept referred to as 'freedom'?
That is what our country was founded upon...freedom of the individual...and the inalienable right to pursue happiness in his own way...so long as he brings no harm to others or their property.
I ask you not to believe, but, I defy you to deny.

William Braudis,
Yes, please tell me of all the deaths caused by using marijuana. oh, that's right you can't because there are none.
Illegality has nothing to do with the potential hazards of something; you can sky dive and that can surely kill you; you can stuff your face full of fattening, disgusting food for years on end and have a massive heart attack and that's perfectly
legal; and you can become addicted to shopping for clothes, but that is still legal.
Your problem is that you are a judgmental, ignorant, arrogant individual so full of hate and spite towards anyone who thinks differently than your "righteous and noble" ideas that you would be willing to kill them or, like a coward, have the state do it on your behalf. You are no different than any of the murderous dictators that plagued humanity throughout time.
Fortunately, yours is a dying breed and drugs will be legalized (like CO & WA) if not out-right decriminalized eventually because people that believe other men and women should be free to do as they want so long as they don't harm another are growing in numbers and are sick and tired of the petty tyrants, such as yourself, that stick their noses in the day-to-day affairs of every-day people going about their lives.
I hope you can evolve to love your neighbor despite your differences and embrace the idea that we're all free individuals that can make our own decisions so long as we aren't hurting another.
I say good day, sir!
