Husband Slammed Wife's Face into Car During Argument, Police Say
The two were riding home from a party when they stopped along Interstate 70 during an argument, police said.
A St. Charles County man arguing with his wife, after stopping along Interstate 70 on a drive home, slammed her face into the car, breaking her nose, police said.
Derrick Scarbrough, 41, of the 1400 block of Summergate Parkway in St. Charles County near St. Peters, was charged Saturday in St. Louis County Circuit Court with second degree domestic assault.
Normandy Police Chief Frank Mininni said Scarbrough and his wife were riding home with others from a party in Baden and began arguing. His wife told the driver to stop the car near Bermuda Drive in Normandy, and she got out and said she would walk home, Mininni said.
According to court documents, Scarbrough got out of the car and slammed her face on the car and dragged her across the pavement. Normandy Police arrested Scarbrough at a local hospital.
Bond was set at $20,000, cash only.
