A St. Charles County man was charged Monday with breaking his ex-girlfriend’s vehicle windows out with his cane Sunday in the Harvester area, just south of St. Peters.
James Hall Jr., 47, of the first block of Mouser Drive, is charged with third degree domestic assault and property damage.
The two argued over child custody and the woman went to her ex-boyfriend’s home to talk, said Lt. Craig McGuire, of the St. Charles County Sheriff’s Department.
After the woman got in her van to leave, Hall began hitting the vehicle's windows with his cane, smashing the windshield and side windows, the deputy said in the report. Hall threatened the woman as he struck the windows, the deputy said.
The incident was caught on video, according to the report.
