Man told police he simply pushed his girlfriend with his foot.
A St. Charles County man kicked his girlfriend Sunday, according to a St. Charles County Sheriff’s Department report.
Jason E. Benskin, 36, of the 2800 block of Mulberry Lane in St. Charles County east of St. Peters, was charged with third-degree domestic assault.
A deputy said Benskin and his girlfriend were arguing when he became aggressive and kicked her in the abdomen as he was laying on a bed, pushing her backward into a dresser and onto the floor. The deputy said several people witnessed the assault and said Benskin was the aggressor.
Benskin told the deputy he used his foot to push her away from him. The girlfriend said he has been using illegally obtained drugs, making him violent and unpredictable.
Benskin is on probation for felony stealing.
Bond was set at $10,000 for the domestic assault charge, and the judge ordered that he have no contact with the victim.
