An officer was attempting to handcuff the man at the St. Peters Justice Center when he began resisting, according to a police report.

A St. Charles man faces assault charges for spitting on and attempting to punch a St. Peters police officer Sunday.

Kyle Friesenhahn, 25, of the 1000 block of Pine Street in St. Charles, was charged Wednesday with assaulting a law enforcement officer.

St. Peters Police said an officer was trying to handcuff Friesenhahn Sunday at the St. Peters Justice Center, 1020 Grand Teton Drive. Friesenhahn attempted to strike the officer twice and started spitting at officers, police said.

Friesenhahn posted a $25,000 bond Monday and was released from jail.

X95MP, perhaps we lived in the same neighborhood. When the Police arrested someone and they became belligerent. They were placed into a Police Car and taken to jail .... not ...... they were taken to a secluded area and got the Hell beat out of them. This sure held crime down and taught the perpetrator some manners.
