Meet the Candidates: Patrick Barclay Running Unopposed in Ward 4
An Alderman since 2002, Patrick Barclay seeks to continue serving St. Peters' Ward 4.
Odd are good that Patrick Barclay will remain on the St. Peters Board of Aldermen.
Barclay, who has been serving Ward 4 since 2002, is running unopposed in the upcoming election. Still, to get on the Board, he needs at least one vote at the April 3 General Election, which is why he decided to answer some questions from Patch. Here are his answers.

Where do you live? Park Ridge Estates
What is your current job/position? Supervisor, Weather Observing Office located at Lambert-St. Louis International Airport.
Why are you running for the Board of Aldermen? I enjoy serving the residents by keeping them updated on important issues as well as addressing their concerns. It is rewarding to hear so many people say they love living in St. Peters because of all the great services and amenities that the city offers. I look forward to remaining a part of the team that is working hard to see that this continues.
What relevant experience do you have? I have had the honor and privilege of serving as a Ward 4 Alderman since 2002. I previously served as Board President. For the past two years, I have been on the Board of Directors for the St. Charles County Municipal League. While attending college, I earned a B.A. in Political Science and History. I am the current Aldermanic Representative to the St. Peters Senior Advisory Committee.
What do you think you can bring to this position? I am proud of the record of success we have built in St. Peters. We’ve been able to accomplish so much while maintaining a balanced budget. I bring ten years of experience of working together with the other elected officials and staff so the city’s success will continue into the future. I will remain accessible and responsive whenever a resident needs my help.
Please tell us about one goal you have for this position: To continue the improvements to 370 Lakeside Park and attract more businesses to Premier 370 and other areas of St. Peters. This will bring more jobs to the community.
