Northern Tool and Equipment Expands to St. Peters
Hardware store based in Minnesota will open first Missouri location.
A Minnesota-based tool company plans to open a new location in St. Peters.
Northern Tool + Equipment is a privately-held company that began in Burnsville, Minn. in 1981. The company sells of everything from hand tools to hydraulic equipment to tractors in both a catalogue and in retail stores.
It has expanded to 78 stores in 16 states across the midwest and southeast. The company in December and January was advertising positions for new stores in St. Peters and in Arnold.
According to the company's website, Northern Tool + Equipment does not currently have any other Missouri locations.
The St. Peters store will be located at 4055 Veterans Memorial Parkway, in a space formerly occupied by Pizza Street, close to Office Depot. A "coming soon" sign hangs out front.
