A St. Charles County man was charged in Sunday’s shooting near Mid Rivers Mall Drive and Mexico Road in St. Peters.
A St. Charles County Sheriff’s report said that Gregory D. Crawford, 18, of the first block of Jamestown Drive, shot a firearm at another group of about nine teenagers outside his apartment.
The incident took place in Steeplechase neighborhood in unincorporated St. Chalres County surrounded by the city of St. Peters.
The handgun was recovered in Crawford's bedroom, according to court documents.
Crawford told law officials his intent was to “shoot one or all of them,” according to the report. The report said Crawford wanted to get another handgun and had no remorse for the shooting.
Crawford was charged Monday with first-degree assault and armed criminal action. He is being held in St. Charles County Jail in lieu of a $100,000, cash-only bond.
Crawford is on probation through the Missouri Department of Corrections. The report said he had no ties to the area, and is from Arkansas.
