Police Say Couple Sold Heroin to Undercover Officer
Drug Task Force and St. Peters Police officers said when officers arrested the couple on the last drug deal, they had 9-month-old child in back seat.
Kiante Ball, 22, of the 1300 block of Cave Springs Boulevard, was charged with three counts of selling heroin. Natasha Honore, 20, was charged with two counts of selling heroin, possession of controlled substances and resisting arrest.
An undercover officer reported meeting with Ball on three occasions – June 27, June 28 and July 9 – to buy heroin. Honore twice drove Ball to the transactions.
On June 27, the officer reported meeting with Ball and Honore at 170 Mid Rivers Mall Drive and paid $50 for six heroin doses. On June 28, he met with Ball at 3975 Veterans Memorial Parkway and again bought six heroin doses for $50, the officer reported.
On Monday, the officer arranged to buy 12 heroin doses for $100, but had St. Peters Police meet Ball and Honore when they pulled up to 7108 Mexico Road.
St. Peters Police reported approaching the car and ordering Honore and Ball to open the door and step out, but they did not obey. Honore put the car in reverse and began backing out.
One officer yelled that Ball was reaching for something, and another officer broke the driver’s side window with his baton and opened the door. The couple’s 9-month-old child was in the back seat, police said.
Police said they found Honore had 17 heroin doses concealed in her bra and found another dose near the front passenger seat. Upon searching the couple’s home, they found three doses of Ecstasy.
Bond for Ball and Honore was set at $50,000 each, cash only.
