Rain-Slicked Roads Injure St. Peters Residents
Roy and Loreda Yewell sustained moderate injuries after crashing on Interstate 44.
Rain-slicked roads are being blamed for a crash involving two St. Peters residents.
On Sept. 6, Roy and Loreda Yewell, both 70, of St. Peters, were traveling on Interstate 44 five miles east of Cuba, Mo. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Roy Yewell was driving eastbound and lost control of his 2007 Dodge Ram truck on the wet roadway.
The truck ran off the road and struck a tree, extensively damaging the vehicle. Roy and Loreda were both transported to Missouri Baptist Hospital in Sullivan, Mo., with moderate injuries. Roy was not wearing his safety device in the crash, but Loreda was.
