Several Businesses Close in St. Peters Due to Snow
Local businesses and organizations are moving events planned for today due to winter weather advisories.
Local schools called off school Thursday and many local businesses opted to close up shop as well as the threat of "thunder snow" loomed.
Greater St. Charles Chamber of Commerce canceled a TechComm committee meeting during the day and a networking event in the evening because of the winter weather. The office closed for the day by 10:30 a.m.
The Francis Howell Board of Education meeting was canceled tonight and will be rescheduled for 7 p.m. Monday, Feb. 25.
Among businesses which decided to close were:
Current Trends Academy, World Martial Arts Academy, Habitat St. Charles ReStore, Shear-Lock Combs West, Plato's Closet St. Peters, Superkids Daycare, Planet Fun and Sun Ray's Tanning.
Midwest ENT Centre and Calvary Church both planned to close at noon today.
The St. Peters Cultural Arts Centre will be cancelling classes tonight and the Centre will close at 5 p.m. The St. Peters Rec-Plex will also close at 5 p.m.
Missouri Valley Federal Credit Union on Mexico Road closed at 12 p.m.
