St. Louis Cardinals, American Red Cross Teaming Up for Blood Drive in St. Peters
From 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, June 13, at Calvary Church in St. Peters residents can show up and donate blood.
The American Red Cross is teaming up with the St. Louis Cardinals and Fox Sports Midwest for a series of blood drives across the St. Louis area. One such drive will be taking place in St. Peters.
From 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, June 13, at Calvary Church in St. Peters residents can show up and donate blood. Not that much of an incentive is needed, but the Cardinals, Fox Sports Midwest and the Red Cross have decided to entice potential donors with a free t-shirt.
Everyone who attempts to donate will receive a shirt saluting the World Champion Cardinals, and of course the donor. The shirts will only be around while supplies last. Donors will also have a chance to win tickets to a future Cardinals' game.
To schedule an appointment to donate blood at a Cardinals blood drive, call 1-800-RED CROSS or go to redcrossblood.org and enter sponsor code: Cards. The goal for the drive is to collect more than 750 units of blood. With each pint of blood capable of helping three people, more than 2,000 lives could be helped if the goal is met.
