St. Peters Driver Seriously Injured in Fatal Head-On Crash
St. Louis resident Emily Ferguson, 19, was killed after colliding with St. Peters resident Charles Mills.
A St. Peters truck driver was seriously injured in a fatal crash early Friday morning.
Charles Mills, 39, was taken to University Hospital in Columbia, Mo., with serious injuries after being in a two-car collision that killed the second driver. Emily Ferguson, 19, of St. Louis, died as a result of the crash.
According the Missouri State Highway Patrol, at 3 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 7, Ferguson was heading westbound in the eastbound lane of Interstate 70 just west of the 151.4 mile marker in Callaway County. Ferguson's 2004 Nissan Xterra collided head-on with Mills' 2009 Hino straight truck. Ferguson was pronounced dead at the scene at 3:17 a.m.

Ferguson was not wearing a safety device in the crash. Mills was wearing his safety device.
Both vehicles were totaled.
