St. Peters Man Unharmed In Motorcycle Crash
Matthew Altomore escaped injury after being rear-ended by another motorcyclist on Interstate 64.
A St. Peters man was uninjured in a two-car crash on Wednesday, May 27.
Matthew Altomore, 20, was driving his 2008 Suzuki GSX-R eastbound on Interstate 64 at the 5.4-mile marker when another driver made contact with the rear of his vehicle. Ian Lebron-Cortez, 26, of O'Fallon, struck the rear of Altomore’s motorcycle, which caused his 2005 Suzuki GSX-R to overturn. Lebron-Cortez and a passenger, Autumn Stapleton, 21, of O’Fallon, were ejected from the vehicle.
Lebron-Cortez and Stapleton were taken to Mercy Medical Center in Creve Coeur by St. Charles County Ambulance. The two sustained what was classified by the Highway Patrol as moderate injuries.
Altomore's motorcycle had minor damage, but was able to be driven from the scene. Lebron-Cortez's vehcile had moderate damage.
