St. Peters Menards Store Set to Begin Hiring Process in February
Construction of the new store is expected to be finished in the spring of this year.
Menards will soon be accepting applications for its new St. Peters stores.
Menards spokesman Jeff Abbott said the store, which is still under construction will begin the hiring process in February. Abbot said in an email that the St. Peters location will being the process on Wednesday, Feb. 20 at 9 a.m. Interested applicants may apply at the store between the hours of 9 a.m. and 7 p.m. on Monday through Saturday.
Construction of the new Menards store in is still ongoing and on schedule. Abbott said no concrete opening date has been set, but that if everything keeps going as planned, the store should open this spring. Menards told the St. Peters Planning and Zoning Commission last year that it hoped to complete construction of the 162,000-square foot store this spring.
Once the store opens, Menard's told the city the store would add 150-200 jobs to the area. Menards, a national chain, began to move into the St. Louis area this spring. If construction remains on schedule, the St. Peters location could be the first Menards in the region to open.

There is health care but they don't offer cafeteria benefits and I do not think that there are unions. As for pay it depends on the position in the store. Morning stockers make less than those who work part or full time.

Notorious Wisconsin Retailer Backs AFP-Linked Anti-Union Program
Menards home improvement stores are known for their anti-union fervor, employee-abusive practices and environmental violations. And they preach Prosperity 101.

According to this Menards treats the employee even worse than Walmart does.
I don't understand why anyone would want to work there.

That website seems less than objective. I find it hard to believe that any company, in today's age of "everybody knowing everything" can be that nasty. Also, it does a company no good at all to lose good employees to ridiculous rules.
Lastly, while the unions certainly have their place, they've also done a fantastic job of keeping a lot of lazy asses employed while people willing to work are without jobs.
