Lines were still long on a rainy day in St. Peters.

Things in St. Peters seemingly went smoothly on Election Day.

While there were long lines—althought not nearly as long as those in other states that took voters hours to cast a vote—there were no issues reported to St. Peters Patch. Several voting machines acorss the county jammed—including one this morning at DuBray Middle School.

Even in the rain, parking lots at polling places were full and voters kept a steady stream in to vote.

In a seemingly odd departure, several polling places around St. Peters were without the usual barrage of campaign signage usually seen in the spring during Municipal Elections. Signs supporting Mitt Romney unofficially outnumbered signs for Barack Obama, but both were represented. At City Hall, one voter placed a sign for former candidate Ron Paul.
