So many great things going on in St. Peters, O'Fallon, St. Charles, Cottleville, Lake St. Louis, Wentzville and around here but the top stories are always CRIME STORIES..Sadly, it's easier to cover crime because of easily gathered police reports and even more sadly, it's what people seem to want to read. More Good Stuff Featured is what the effort should be. All of the Patch's do a great job...just less crime articles please. Just my opinion...and my opinion and $1.79 will buy you a nice cup of coffee at St. Louis Bread.

Jim - As I've mentioned before, we do cover the good stories. But, as this story points out, the most widely read stories are on crime.

Here is a story for you: In regard to the April 2 election, Violet keeps harping on the fact she has no life do to the empty nest syndrome so that makes her the best choice for the Ward 3 Alderman Office! Exhibit 1 from the Alderman's comment section: Violets Upfront Newsletters comment:
Please, if there is anything I can ever do for you or your family, feel free to contact me at xxx.xxx.xxxx. Since our children are grown with families of their own, MY SCHELDULE ALLOWS ME TO DEDICATE MY TIME FULLY TO SERVING YOU AS YOUR ALDERMAN! So always remember that your concern is my concern!

Please excuse the caps but they are used to illustrate the tactic she has used against her opponent in this election who happens to be a mother of 3 young children and Violets hope that the voting public will infer that this issue is a reason Walker should not receive your vote.
