Truck Driver Killed in Crash on Salt River Road Ramp

Louisiana, Mo., resident Arthur Johnson died in a crash Wednesday afternoon near St. Peters.

 

A truck driver was killed Wednesday afternoon in a one-vehicle crash near St. Peters on the Salt River Road entrance ramp heading to northbound Highway 79.

The crash took place just after 3 p.m. on Wednesday. The driver, 58-year-old Arthur Johnson, of Louisiana, Mo., was pronounced dead by a St. Charles County Ambulance medic at 3:16 p.m.

According to the crash report, Johnson lost control of his 2011 Peterbilt Tractor on the entrance ramp. The truck ran off the road and overturned, coming to a rest on the passenger side. Johnson was wearing his seat belt in the crash. 

No other vehicles were involved.

This crash was absolutely horrible and a terrible loss for his family. My God give them peace.
