Since this is your community, we want St. PetersPatch to be a place where you can not only find out what's going on around town, but a place where you can share your thoughts and ideas with your neighbors.

Our new feature "Visions for Vacancies" aims to help residents take an active role in planning and building their community. So each week, we'll highlight a vacant commercial area and ask: What would you like to see move into this area? If you know of an area you'd like to see highlighted, tell us in the comments.

This week, we are looking at something that isn't quite vacant, at least not yet. Becky's Carpet and Tile Superstore closed earlier this week. The store, located at 4525 Veterans Memorial Pkwy, isn't empty yet, but with the Carpet store going out of business it should be.
