Visions for Vacancies: The 7400 Block of Mexico Road in the Promenade Plaza
Tell us what you want to see go into the vacant building in the 7400 block of Mexico Road in the Promenade Plaza in St. Peters.
Since this is your community, we want St. Peters Patch to be a place where you can not only find out what's going on around town, but a place where you can share your thoughts and ideas with your neighbors.
Our feature "Visions for Vacancies" aims to help residents take an active role in planning and building their community. So each week, we'll highlight a vacant commercial area and ask: What would you like to see move into this area? If you know of an area you'd like to see highlighted, tell us in the comments.
This week we're going back to the Promenade Plaza on Mexico Road. Earlier we looked at a portion of the strip mall that was open and today, we take a look at another section that is vacant. Buildings 7483, 7485 and 7487 are all for lease. The three buildings are located next to the Respond Right EMS Academy.
If it were up to you, what would you like to see there? What do you think would best serve the St. Peters community in that spot or spots?

Why was this building even built, especially if there aren't businesses to fill it? There are so many "strip" buildings that have vacancies there is no need to build more. Many of the buildings with vacancies are relatively new. Quit tearing up land to build unnecessary buildings. Same goes with housing!

Tear it down and replace the trees or farm land that were there before that place was built there in the first place. Put a moritorium on any more buildings being built until the vacant ones are occupied!

New business permits only for use in available strip malls. St. Peters has too many vacant buildings. The ones built on Salt Lick Road have been vacant since the were built. Keep some green space.

This is an out lot building in a plaza that does have businesses in it... it is a fascinating building I would like to work in it however my partner said no as it is completely glass, she feared break ins. I revelled that I could enjoy the beauty of nature while working there??? Would you care to have your tax providor established in this building?
