It's time for another edition of the St. Charles County Athlete of the Week fan poll.
This week we turn our attention to the football field. Tell us in the poll below: Which St. Charles County football player had the best Week 9?
Armand Keely—Orchard Farm: Orchard Farm pulled out a big win in the final moments on Friday night. The Eagles scored 14 fourth-quarter points to beat Clopton 27-26. The first score that started the comeback was a two-yard run by Armand Kelly. The TD was his second in the game. In total, Kelly carried the ball 21 times for 128 yards to power the Orchard Farm offense.
Jordan Norwine—Christian High School: The O'Fallon Christian Eagles closed out the regular season with a huge 38-12 win against Lift for Life. The Eagles were able to come away with the win behind a strong aerial attack. Quarterback Jordan Norwine was sharp in the win. He completed 11-of-18 passes for 234 yards, but most impressive, was the fact that four of his throws went for touchdowns. He had just one interception in the win.
Tray Mitchell—Holt: Holt's Tray Mitchell certainly closed the regular season in style. After winning back-to-back Patch Athlete of the Week awards, Mitchell didn't let up. In the final regular season game, Mitchell went off against Zumwalt West. Mitchell was again a workhouse for the Indians carrying the ball 30 times, racking up 226 yards in the process. He had three touchdowns (66, 47 and 21 yards) in the Indians' win.
