Welcome to "Chowdown Showdown"—a column aimed at finding the best foodie finds in St. Charles County.
The weekly Chowdown Showdown is meant to be a way for readers to pick and vote on their favorite places to get certain entrees in St. Charles County. Each week, we will ask you to tell us your favorite place to get a cup of coffee or a burger or breakfast.
Now that Thanksgiving is over, we want to think about anything but turkey and stuffing. We want to know: Where is the best place in St. Charles County to get spaghetti?
You can let us know your favorite spot by commenting below. You will be able to submit your vote through 5 p.m. Tuesday.
From there, we will take the top three finalists and post them in an article first thing Wednesday morning. Then it will be time to vote again—this time for the "Chowdown Showdown" champion.
Voting will continue through 5 p.m. Thursday, and we will announce the winner first thing Friday morning.

ok I have checked and tasted almost every place in Ofallon Mo here in st charles county and the only place I have gone to that even comes close to being the best is Rizzos....To be honest with you I make the best sauce and I wish tyhere was a way for me to bottle it and sell it ..Trust me you would know it is the best anywhere in St louis... Im not being snotty its just that I havent gone to any restaurant here in st louis and found anything that wasnt loaded with either to much pepper , garlic, or to much sugar.... Thats not true I talian sauce..Now if I could enter a sauce cook off you would see for yourself ...that mine was delicious....Debbie

Franchescas has the best. Although the best in the entire city used to be Chircos in West County.

All I know is that I found this little family restaurant in Wentzville, mo That is trying very hard to make in todays economy,, Wonderful homecooked food, Breakfast served all Day! Famous for their Omelets, Daily Specials, Homemade desserts, Very reasonable prices, Large portions! Can't find this just anywhere! Please come check this restaurant out and give them a try! You won't be sorry

Sorry,, lol,, the name of the restaurant is Mama's Grill they have only been open for a few months,, It is formally Ryans Grill, Few buildings down from Petes Restaurant. Thanks!

The best Italian food anywhere in St. Charles County is at Erio's on Jungermann Rd in St. Peters.
