The first annual peach festival in St. Charles County brings 33 varieties of Missouri peaches to market while inviting local coaches and leaders of youth organizations  to raise money for their groups by participating in "Take One for the Team and Get Dunked" challenge.

The peach festival celebrates community with delicious food, free entertainment, face painting, caricature artists, balloon artists, a 30 animal petting zoo, peach wines and special peach beer. The famous Blue Owl Bakery and Restaurant will make their debut offering their delicious salads, sandwiches and baked goods.  The Dirty Soap Band, Bob Gilda and Alex Rosales are among the entertainment scheduled for the festival.  The festival will begin on Saturday, August 4th from 8am - 4pm and Sunday, August 5th from 10am - 4pm. 

Missouri has a huge peach harvest and Rick's Roadside is excited about bringing them to market.  Peaches have long been revered.  The ancient Chinese referred to the peach as "the fruit of the emperors" and during the reign of Queen Victoria the peach had to be served in a fancy cloth napkin.  Missouri is one of six states that grow peaches commercially.  It only seemed reasonable to celebrate!

In addition to the food and fun, a dunking booth is being donated for both days to help local sport teams and organization raise money for their groups.  An hour is being offered to any team or organization leader that would like to "Take One for the Team and Get Dunked".  The money raised during the hour goes back to provide for their needs.
