The polls are now closed in St. Peters.  All the ballots have been cast and now the counting process begins. Polling places in St. Peters are open for business. Opening up at 6 a.m. and not closing until 7 p.m., polling places around the city were ready for voters. The polling places also offered a last-chance effort for candidates to get the word out. Yard signs lined walkways leading to doors and candidates and supporters were out to meet soon-to-be voters. 
Today is Election Day, in case you couldn't tell.   St. Peters Patch has gone ahead a compiled a list of things to know before you go vote. The Fort Zumwalt School District is asking voters to approve a no-tax increase  generalobligation bond issue on April 5. The proposition requests $18.5 million in general obligation bonds with no tax increase for residents. Superintendant Dr. Bernard DuBray said the district's debt-service levy will remain at 62 cents per $100 assessed valuation.  A bond issue is a loan made by the district with permission of the registered voters in the district. General obligation bonds must pass with four-sevenths of the majority vote.  DuBray said the bond issue would help pay off a leasehold revenue bond…
From budgets to bullying, a wide range of topics were on the agenda at a forum for eight Francis Howell School Board candidates vying for three open slots in the upcoming April 5 election. The session, attended by a number of parents and students at the district’s administrative office Thursday night, was sponsored by the Francis Howell North High School Journalism Program and featured questions submitted by the audience as well as electronically through social media.
