Name: J.R. Alexander School: Fort Zumwalt South Accomplishment: Alexander, a multi-sport athlete at Fort Zumwalt South, signed to play football at Quincy University in Quincy, IL. The Hawks are a Division II team.

Name: Matt Kimmel School: Lutheran High School Accomplishment: Matt Kimmel was one of 11 students in St. Charles County honored by Partners for Progress of Greater St. Charles as part of its STEM (science, technology, engineering, math) initiative. He is taking anatomy and physiology, and advanced placement calculus. He is involved in tennis, soccer, drama, Fellowship of Christian Athletes and Future Business Leaders of America. He plans to attend Missouri State University or Iowa State University and major in biology. 
Name: Allison Gugla School: Fort Zumwalt East High School Accomplishment: Gugla was one of 11 students in St. Charles County honored by Partners for Progressof Greater St. Charles as part of its STEM (science, technology, engineering, math)initiative. She received a 35 on the science portion of the ACT and a 34 overall. She plans toattend the University of Pennsylvania and major in materials engineering.  
Fort Zuwmalt South graduate Alex Riggs is taking his talents to Columbus. Riggs, a soccer goalkeeper, signed with the Columbus Crew of the MLS to keep his soccer career going. Riggs, 22, played collegiality at Missouri State University. He was named the Missouri Valley Conference Goalkeeper of the Year in 2010 and in 2009 was chosen as the Defensive Player of the Year in the conference. He earned an All-MVC first team selection his senior season for the third time in his career.
