 nefits the St. Louis region by supporting the mission of Safe Connection
 s. This organization provides a critical&nbsp\;support network to women.
 \nSafe Connections is the oldest and largest locally-founded agency serv
 ing&nbsp\;survivors of domestic and sexual violence&nbsp\;in the St. Lou
 is region. Safe Connections&nbsp\;is&nbsp\;the only agency providing&nbs
 p\;integrated counseling and support services for women who have been vi
 ctimized by&nbsp\;domestic violence\, sexual assault\, rape&nbsp\;and/or
  childhood sexual abuse.\nSafe Connections started in 1976 as a grassroo
 ts crisis phone line. Early on\, it became obvious that counseling servi
 ces for victims of abuse were needed\, and therapists joined the small s
 taff. Today\, Safe Connections&rsquo\;&nbsp\;therapy clients are women a
 nd girls who have been physically and emotionally abused in their privat
 e relationships\, who have been raped or&nbsp\;who are adult survivors o
 f childhood sexual abuse. It also recognized that breaking the cycle of 
 violence must include reaching adolescents\, so it introduced a violence
  prevention curriculum in schools. Since then\, more than 100\,000 teena
 gers have learned how to have healthy\, violence-free relationships thro
 ugh Safe Connections Project H.A.R.T.\nSince its inception\, the&nbsp\;a
 nnual golf outing has raised nearly $600\,000 to help advance Safe Conne
 ctions&rsquo\; mission. Many of the area&rsquo\;s top commercial real es
 tate executives\, as well as leading businesses\, support this charitabl
