DESCRIPTION:On Saturday\, July 28\, 2012 Operation Food Search is celebra
 ting Saturday Jubilee\, a one day\, community-wide food drive to help re
 stock the shelves for the remainder of summer with area grocery stores s
 erving as collection points. Hundreds of volunteers will position themse
 lves outside of stores throughout the St. Louis region on Saturday\, Jul
 y 28\, &nbsp\;from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.\, asking shoppers to donate food ite
 ms to support food pantries in the area.&nbsp\;\nItems needed include:\n
 \nCereal\nPeanut Butter\nCanned Meats: Tuna\, Chicken\, Beef\nSoup\, Chi
 li\, Stew\, Ravioli\nCanned Fruits &amp\; Canned Vegetables\nPasta\, Ric
 e\, Beans\nBaby Formula\nJuice Boxes / Juice (Plastic Bottles)\n\nHunger
  is a year-long problem. St. Louisans are very generous in the winter mo
 nths\, but with the economy continuing to lag\, more and more people are
  in need of assistance. We thank Schnucks\, Dierbergs\, Whole Foods\, Sh
 op &lsquo\;n Save and Walmart for their help in allowing OFS to collect 
 food items outside their markets. We also thank the hundreds of voluntee
 rs who make this event possible and the people of St. Louis who&rsquo\;s
  generosity allows OFS to feed the hungry.\nAbout Operation Food Search 
  Operation Food Search was established in 1981 to address the growing pr
 oblem of hunger and has since become the largest distributor of free foo
 d in the bi-state area. The organization distributes more than two milli
 on pounds of food and household items to 250 community partner agencies 
 which in turn feed 150\,000 poor people each month\, nearly one-third of
  whom are children.\nFor every dollar donated by individuals\, corporati
 ons\, foundations and organizations\, OFS provides $22 worth of food and
