Flooding at Lakeside Park Cancels Sunset Friday's Concert
The city of St. Peters announced Monday that the Sunset Fridays Concert featuring Sins of the Pioneers scheduled for this Friday, June 21, has been cancelled.
Flooding concerns continue to claim events at 370 Lakeside Park.
The city of St. Peters announced Monday that the Sunset Fridays Concert featuring Sins of the Pioneers scheduled for this Friday, June 21, has been cancelled because of ongoing flooding issues. The park has been closed since early June because of flooding.
A rainy spring has put pressure on the agricultural levee protecting the park from the Mississippi River. If the levee breaks, Lakeside Park could flood with 16 feet of water.
The City plans to reschedule this concert later this summer.
