Get Out: A Street Dance, Craft Bazaar and a 5K Run

Check out Patch's round-up of events going on in and around St. Peters this weekend. 

  • When/Where? At , 308 Civic Park Dr, O Fallon on Friday and Saturday. The event runs from 5-10 p.m. on Friday and 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday
  • What? On Friday night, enjoy a street dance on Civic Park Drive and shopping at festival booths in the park. On Saturday, continue shopping at festival booths for hand-crafted gifts. Entertainment for the whole family on Saturday includes live music, Bob Hamm’s Wild West Show, the Peppy Puppet Troupe, Bish the Magish or Field of Fun for kids. The event is free but some activities include a nominal fee. 

  • When/Where? Friday, Oct. 7 at the , 4601 Mid Rivers Mall Dr, Cottleville at 8 p.m.  
  • What? SCC will show Rocky Horror Picture Show on the lawn outside on campus. Tickets are $7. Gates open at 7 p.m. 

  • When/Where? Saturday, Oct. 8, at , 2577 W Meyer Rd, Foristell, at 9:30 a.m. 
  • What? Children ages 5-10 can enjoy the outdoors during these weekly hikes at Rotary Park. Hikes will vary each week with different activities including games, crafts and educational elements. Price is $8 per session for residents and $10 per session for non-residents. 

  • When/Where? Saturday, Oct. 8 on 107 N Main St, St. Charles at 1 p.m. 
  • What? Celebrate Breast Cancer Awareness Month with makeovers, pink hair extensions, body art and more. Tickets for the event can be purchased for $10 in advance and $15 at the door at. All proceeds will support local breast cancer programs in memory of local mother, daughter, friend and fighter Kathy Caldwell. 

  • When/Where? Saturday, Oct. 8 at , 610 Willott Rd, St. Peters at 7 p.m. 
  • What? A free gospel concert open to the public 

  • When/Where? Sunday, Oct. 9 at , 100 N Main St, O Fallon, at 7:30 a.m. 
  • What? O’Fallon’s ninth annual  is a 3.1 mile race that includes a fall costume contest for all participants. During the race, runners and walkers will follow a clearly-marked route through the neighborhood, returning to the start/finish line outside City Hall. An awards ceremony will begin at approximately 8:30 a.m., with complimentary snacks and beverages for participants. 

  • When/Where? Sunday, Oct. 9, at , 1600 Feise Rd, Dardenne Prairie, at 4 p.m. 
  • What? The Great Pumpkin Festival is a free event featuring hayrides, pumpkin decorating, pumpkin carving, a chili cook-off, bon fires to roast marshmallows and lots of food and entertainment. While supplies last, each family will receive a pumpkin from the pumpkin patch.

  • Where/When? Sunday, Oct.  9, on 100 N Main St, St. Charles from 1-6 p.m. 
  • What? This outdoor event on Main Street features live entertainment, including performances by Dave Catani, DJ "D Mega" and Hot Rod Mopeds. Local restaurants will sell favorites on the street for $2-$3 and attendees can enter special contests including, best burger, best bartender drink competition and hotdog eating contest. We already have 2 dogs, so I don't think we are in a position to take on a third dog. Your ad caughtRead More my attention because I love German Shepherds and I had to put my Great Pyrenees to sleep in 2010. The mix of these 2 wonderful breeds makes your dog a really unique and interesting dog. If you could keep me aprised of her situation, I would appreciate it.
