Get Out: Celebrate St. Peters, Wine Tastings and College Fairs

  • Why Go? Live music, barbecue, fireworks, games and outdoor activites. Celebrate St. Peters is a three-day event that's fun for the whole family.

  • Where/When: 311 N Main St, Saint Charles, Saturday, September 17 at 6:30 p.m.
  • Why Go?  Enjoy a classy evening filled with fine wines, hors d’oeuvres, chocolate and live jazz featuring Denise Thimes, an internationally known jazz vocalist. All proceeds benefit United Way of Greater St. Louis.
  • Price: Tickets are $60 each which includes wine tastings, chocolate samplings, hors d'oeuvres and an intimate concert setting with Denise Thimes. Purchase at www.stl.unitedway.org or 636-939-3300.
  • Where/When: 100 N Main St, Saint Charles, all weekend.
  • Why Go? The free Festival is a family-friendly weekend event, with activities for everyone including fantastic art, great entertainment and the opportunity for children to create their own artwork.

  • Where/When: , Meadows Circle Drive, Lake Saint Louis onSaturday, September 17 at 6 p.m.
  • Why Go? The inaugural Root Ball is a celebration of Lake Saint Louis' tenth anniversary as a Tree City USA. The key speaker is Sen. Scott Rupp.
  • Price: $45/person or $80/couple and includes dinner from Donatelli's live music, a cash bar and a silent auction.
  • Where/When: , 4601 Mid Rivers Mall Dr, Saint Peters on Saturday, September 17 at 10 a.m.
  • Why Go? Looking for a fun workout? One of New York City’s leading Arabic-style dancers, Ranya Renee, will host a performance along with four workshops focusing on Egyptian-style dance.
  • Price: $45
  • Where/When: , 4601 Mid Rivers Mall Dr, Saint Peters on Sunday, September 18 at 1 p.m.
  • Why Go? Planning on going back to school? the SCCC College fair will feature more than 90 colleges, universities and technical schools from more than 16 states as well as the armed services will be represented

  • Why Go? The Francis Howell High Class of 2014 is holding their first annual garage sale fundraiser. The sale will be held at Francis Howell Middle School on Independence Road in the Gym.
  • Price: FREE
