Get Out: See a Play, Attend a Halloween Party or Play Wiffle Ball This Weekend

Fort Zumwalt West Presents "Wait Until Dark"

  • When/Where? auditorium at 7 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 21 and 2 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 22. 
  • What? Support local high school students this weekend by heading to Zumwalt West and checking out the student production of this mystery play.

  • When/Where? , 2577 W Meyer Rd, Foristell on Friday, Oct. 21 at 6:30 p.m. 
  • What?  This recreational, but competitive tournament is open for those ages 16 and older. Official wiffle ball rules will apply with house rules added. Grab a couple friends for this double elimination tournament and try to capture the first place trophy. 

Missouri River Storytelling Festival

  • When/What? , 1050 S Riverside Dr. in St. Charles at 7 p.m. on Friday, Oct 21 and Saturday, Oct. 22. 
  • What? The Missouri River Storytelling Festival will be at the Lewis and Clark Boat House and Nature Center in St. Charles this weekend. Seating is available on a first-come, first-served basis. The event is free with a donation of canned goods for a local food pantry. 

Great Skate Lock-In

  • When/Where? , 130 Boone Hills Dr. in St. Peters starting at 7 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 21.
  • What? Children ages nine and older will skate, play games and enjoy donuts and milk. The event costs $20. Call 636-441-2530 for more information. 

Halloween Party at Founders Park 

  • When/Where? on Friday, Oct. 21 from 6:30-8:30 p.m. 
  • What? Lake Saint Louis Parks and Recreation and the Lake Saint Louis Mother's Club team u to host a night of hayrides, inflatables, a DJ, balloon sculptures and a flashlight candy hunt. All children in costume will be entered into a raffle for more prizes. 

  • When/Where? 1 Saint Peters Centre Blvd, St. Peters on Friday, Oct. 21 at 
  • What? Adult dances are a great way stay active and meet new people. A live band will play music from a wide range of eras and styles. Tickets are $6-$7 and can be bought at the door or purchased in advance at St. Peters City Hall.

  • When/Where? , 2002 Arena Parkway in St. Charles at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 21. 
  • What? Three musical legends take the stage for an evening of guitar playing. The show starts at 7:30 p.m., doors open at 6:30 p.m. Tickets are $31 to $61 and include parking.

St. Dominic Presents “Brothers Grimm Spectaculathon”

  • When/Where? Amy E. Dickherber Memorial Performing Arts Center at 7 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 22 and Sunday, Oct. 23. 
  • What? This unique compilation of  several of the Brothers’ stories features Snow White, Rapunzel, Rumplestilskin, two frenzied and adaptable Narrators, Sleeping Beauty, and a Frog Prince as well as many, many others.  To reserve your tickets, call the main office at 636-240-8303.

Twin Chimneys Craft/Vendor Fair

  • When/Where? Saturday, Oct 22 at 9 a.m. at 7145 Twin Chimneys Blvd. in O Fallon. 
  • What? Twin Chimneys subdivision is hosting a craft/vendor fair in the Twin Chimneys Family Center.  Booths include Pampered Chef, Scentsy, 31, photo books, personalized baby items, Discovery Toys and more. 

  • When/Where? Saturday, Oct. 22 at 6 p.m. at , 1615 Schwede Rd. in Wentzville. 
  • What? Families and small groups are invited to experience a 45-minute wagon ride through the park, along with dinner, s‘mores and a performance of Babaloo, a one-man musical comedy act suitable for all ages. Cost for this special event is $8.50 per person. Sessions are offered at 6, 6:45 and 7:30 p.m., and are limited to 40 participants per session. Night of Fright

  • When/Where? Youth Activity Park, 7801 Highway N in Dardenne Prairie, on Saturday, Oct. 22 from 6-10 p.m. 
  • What? Enjoy a haunted house, games and more with your friends. Cost is the daily fee and an additional $2. 

Monster Bike Bash

  • When/Where? Saturday, Oct. 22 at 9 a.m. at Weldon Spring Trailhead. 
  • What? The Missouri Monster Bike Bash is a Halloween Party on the Katy Trail. Dress for the occasion and get ready to ride from Weldon Springs Trailhead to Augusta. Tickets are $30 and kids 12 and under are free. In addition to bike riding, participants can enjoy barbecue, live music, wine tasting and trick-or-treat bags.
