Get Out: Super Bowl Parties and Plays Highlight the Weekend Slate

Each week, St. Peters Patch features a planner with weekend events in and around St. Charles County.

As we head into the weekend, Patch rounds up a list of events going on in St. Charles County. 

  • When/Where? Thursday, Friday and Saturday at 7 p.m. at .
  • What?   will put on three showings of the play "Harvey." The show will begin at 7 p.m. each night and run on Feb. 2, Feb. 3 and Feb. 4. Tickets are $5 in advance and $7 at the door. 

A Midsummer Night's Dream

  • When/Where? Friday and Saturday at 7:30 p.m. at the , 2300 W Clay St. in St. Charles. 
  • What? Lindenwood University students present the Shakespeare comedy, A Midsummer Night's Dream, at 7:30 p.m. in the Emerson Black Box Theater. Tickets are $10. Visit the LU website for more information. 

Senior Moments Art Exhibit

  • When/Where? Friday, Feb. 3 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the , 1 Saint Peters Centre Blvd. in St. Peters.
  • What? Check out the work of local artists during the opening reception on Friday night.

  • When/Where? Friday, Feb. 3 at 6 p.m. at , 1600 Feise Rd. in Dardenne Prairie. 
  • What? Families are welcome to enjoy a live production filled with music drama comedy and a look at the Bible. This month’s lesson is “Navigating the Bible.”

Cabin Fever Book Fair

  • When/Where? Friday-Sunday at the , 8500 Veterans Memorial Pkwy in O Fallon.
  • What? Friends of the Library at the St. Charles City-County Library District host a book fair this weekend, featuring children's and teen fiction, non-fiction, children's and adult videotapes and books on tape. Prices range from 25 cents to $2. Admission is free. Hours are: 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Friday and Saturday and from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sunday.

Daddy's Little Sweetheart Dance

  • When/Where? Friday and Saturday at 6 p.m. at , 968 Meyer Rd. in Wentzville.
  • What? Dads are invited to take their daughters ages 3-12 out for a night of dancing, games and food. Dinner includes mostaccioli with meat sauce, fettuccine, salad, bread and dessert.and a complimentary photo to remember the evening. Price is $50 for Wentzville couples and $62 for non-residents. There is a $10 additional fee now for those who did not register a week in advance. Contact Wentzville Parks and Recreation at 636-332-9236 to register. 

Spring Lindenwood University Film Series Presents Two Films 

  • When/Where? Friday-Saturday at 7 p.m. at , 209 S Kingshighway St. in St. Charles.  
  • What? The film series continues presenting Jericho on Friday and A Raisin in the Sun on Saturday. Tickets are $5. Soda, popcorn and candy cost $1. 

SCC Photography Invitational

  • When/Where? Saturday, Feb. 4 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at , 4601 Mid Rivers Mall Dr. in Cottleville. 
  • What? The SCC Photography Invitational is on display in the gallery of the Donald D. Shook Fine Arts Building from Jan. 30-March 4. The Photography Invitational is shown in conjunction with the University of Missouri – St. Louis Student Photography Exhibition. The exhibit is free and open to the public. 

 Vision St. Charles County Leadership 7th Annual Trivia Night

  • When/Where? Saturday, Feb. 4 at 7 p.m. at 115 McMenamy Rd. in St. Peters. 
  • What? Vision St. Charles County Leadership hosts its annual trivia night Feb. 4 from 7 to 10 p.m. at the Professional Fire Fighters of Eastern Missouri Hall in St. Peters. Cost to attend is $160 for a team of eight or $20 a person. Prizes are offered for the best decorated table.

Assumption Fair Trade Market

  • When/Where? Saturday-Sunday at , 403 N Main St. in O Fallon. 
  • What? Looking for something special for your Valentine? Check out a variety of crafts on sale at Assumption's Fair Trade Market this weekend after each mass on Saturday from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. and Sunday from 7:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. 

The Great Train Expo

  • When/Where? Saturday-Sunday at the , 1 Convention Center Plz. in St. Charles. 
  • What? The Great Train Expo stops by the St. Charles Convention Center on Saturday,  Feb. 4 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and on Sunday, Feb. 5 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The show features free demonstrations of train models in every size, a Lego train and models kids can play with. Radio Disney will broadcast live at the event on Saturday. The radio station will play games and songs for the kids and also give away a free train craft. Tickets are $7. 

Gateway Australian Shepherd Club

  • When/Where? Saturday, Feb. 4 at 7:30 a.m. at , 1522 Swantnerville Dr. in Wentzville.
  • What? See four shows in two days, including the Australian Shepard Conformation and All-Breed Junior Handling. For more information, visit the website.  

51st Ground Hog Supper

  • When/Where? Saturday, Feb. 4 from 12-6 p.m. at , 801 1st Capitol Dr. in St. Charles.
  • What? The menu includes sausage patties, mashed potatoes, green beans, gravy, freshly made B=biscuits, applesauce and desserts made by church members and friends. Carry outs and sausage by the pound are also available. Tickets are $8 for adults and $4 for children ages 6-12. Children age five and younger are free. Tickets are available at the door on Feb. 4. 

Strikerz Superbowl Party

  • When/Where? , 8070 Veterans Memorial Pkwy in St. Peters. 
  • What? Enjoy full game coverage, billiards, tail gate nacho bar, full half-time buffet, drink tickets and super bowl trivia at Brunswick Zone XL's all- inclusive Super Bowl party.
