Lane Closures Planned on I-70 Thursday and This Weekend

Drivers should expect multiple lane closures at I-70 Blanchette Bridge as construction crews start the process of returning traffic to normal on the bridge. 

The lanes on I-70 around the Blanchette Bridge are expected to be completely back to normal by Aug. 26, but some lanes on the westbound span will open the weekend of Aug. 17.

From MoDOT: 

On Friday, August 9, only one lane will be open on westbound I-70 from Route 141 to Fifth Street from 8 p.m. until 6 p.m. Saturday, August 10.  Only two lanes will be open eastbound I-70 from Fifth Street to Route 141 on Saturday, August 10 from 6 a.m. until 6 p.m.  The ramp from southbound Fifth Street to eastbound I-70 will be closed from 6 a.m. until 2 p.m. on Saturday, August 10.

Motorists are advised to avoid this area of I-70 and Route 141 this weekend.  Rams fans going to the Earth City practice facility should consider using Route 370 to Route 141.  Verizon concertgoers for Sunday's concert should consider using Route 364 to Route 141.

• I-70, St. Charles County, single westbound lane closed from Spence Overpass to Mid Rivers Mall Drive.
• I-70, St. Charles County, loop ramps from Mid Rivers Mall Drive to eastbound and westbound I-70 remains closed until fall 2013.
• I-70, St. Charles County, right lane closed westbound between Mid Rivers Mall Drive and Route 79 until August 2013.
• I-70, St. Charles County, 8 p.m. to 5 a.m., two westbound lanes closed from Mid Rivers Mall Drive to Rte. 79.

• I-70, St Charles County, 8 p.m. until 6 a.m., two lanes closed westbound from Route 141 to Fifth Street.
• I-70, St. Charles County, single westbound lane closed from Spence Overpass to Mid Rivers Mall Drive.
• I-70, St. Charles County, loop ramps from Mid Rivers Mall Drive to eastbound and westbound I-70 remains closed until fall 2013.
• I-70, St. Charles County, right lane closed westbound between Mid Rivers Mall Drive and Route 79 until August 2013.
• I-70, St. Charles County, right eastbound lane from the I-70 exit ramp at Mid Rivers Mall Drive closed until fall 2013.
