The Missouri Department of Transportation will close the left lane of Veterans Memorial Parkway, south of I-70 starting Monday, June 24, weather permitting. The lane closure on the parkway—also known as the South Service Road—will  last for approximately three months. MoDOT will start the closure at 9 a.m.

The left lane will be closed from Mid Rivers Mall Drive to the entrance ramp to eastbound Interstate 70. The current double right turn lanes exiting Mid Rivers Mall to eastbound Veterans Memorial Parkway will be reduced to only one right turn lane.

The closures are part  of a project constructing a diverging diamond interchange. The project also includes the construction of an additional westbound I-70 lane between Mid Rivers Mall Drive and Route 79.
