St. Peters Votes Down 90-foot Cell Phone Tower on Jungermann
  • An application for a permit to build a 90-foot stealth communications tower on Jungermann Road in St. Peters failed to get enough support from St. Peters Aldermen Thursday. Residents raised concerns about the placement of the tower, which was to be built in the parking lot of Anthony’s Produce, 701 Jungermann Road, north of Willott Road. 
Man Sentenced to 10 Years for Molesting Relative
  • A Wisconsin man was sentenced to 10 years in prison after pleading guilty to molesting a relative in St. Peters. The girl was younger than 12 years old, according to court documents. St. Charles County Circuit Court Judge Daniel Pelikan sentenced Micheal A. Herbert, 62, of Plover, WI, to 10 years each for charges of first-degree statutory sodomy and first-degree child molestation. The sentences will be served concurrently.
Father and Son Fight With Home Depot Security in St. Peters, Police Say
  • A father and son stealing shingles from Home Depot struggled with security guards in the parking lot, and the son punched one man, police said. Joshua Wilson, 21, was charged with second-degree robbery, and Robert J. Wilson, 48, was charged with felony stealing. Both are from the 4000 block of Domenico Court in Bridgeton.
Update: St. Peters Police Arrest Suspect for Receiving Stolen Property
  • St. Peters Police have arrested a man they believe is connected to a series of recent burglaries. According to a release from the police, Benjamin Lillard, 23, of the 1st block of Country Creek in St. Peters, was arrested and charged with receiving stolen property and unlawful use of drug paraphernalia.
Smoke Safe Premium Vapor Lounge Opens
  • After Jason James switched from smoking cigarettes to e-cigarettes, he felt so much better he decided to open a vapor lounge to give people in St. Peters nicotine-free options. James opened the Smoke Safe Premium Vapor Lounge with co-owner Herschell Ivory July 20 at 1235 Jungermann Road in St. Peters. The shop is open from 9 am to 9 pm, Monday to Thursday, 9 am to 10 pm Friday and Saturday and 12 to 4 pm Sunday.
