Honeybaked Ham Stores and Kiosks Hiring Holiday Help

Seasonal positions can sometimes lead to careers–here are some local job openings.

HoneyBaked stores are preparing for the annual holiday rush by hiring 6,500 people nationwide to help sell their signature glazed Honey Baked hams, turkey breasts and other products.

In addition to its permanent locations, the chain will add 10 pop-up retail locations inside Dierbergs Markets in Arnold, Brentwood, Chesterfield, Creve Coeur, Edwardsville, Fenton, Oakville, O’Fallon, Shiloh, and Wentzville.

The pop-up kiosks in Wentzville and O'Fallon will be hiring two new employees each. The HoneyBaked store in St. Peters will be hiring 18 people, and the Florissant store will be hiring 20.

“Company-wide, HoneyBaked anticipates more than one million customers during the holiday season, from Thanksgiving through New Year’s,” said COO Maggie DeCan in a company press release. “To continue our tradition of making memorable holiday meals and exceeding our customer standards during our busiest season, we are searching for a holiday team that respects, understands and delivers the HoneyBaked core values every day.”

For some, a seasonal job can potentially lead to a full-time career. When Ami Huff’s sorority sisters at The University of Georgia encouraged her to work at HoneyBaked Ham during college breaks, she never imagined a seasonal gig would turn into a successful career. Fast forward 11 positions at HoneyBaked and 23 years later, Huff now serves as the senior director of human resource services. As part of the human resource team, her current mission is to find job candidates during HoneyBaked Ham’s busiest season—the holidays.

“I couldn’t believe a seasonal job led to a career,” said Huff. “From catering, to behind-the-counter sales, to operations—the opportunity to be exposed to so many different areas at HoneyBaked is priceless. A lot has changed in 23 years, but the one thing that remains the same is working with a team that thrives in an environment with great people, great culture, and great results.”
