Visions for Vacancies: A Portion of the St. Peters Commerce Center

What would you like to see in this vacant space?

Since this is your community, we want  Patch to be a place where you can not only find out what's going on around town, but a place where you can share your thoughts and ideas with your neighbors.

Our feature "Visions for Vacancies" aims to help residents take an active role in planning and building their community. So each week, we'll highlight a vacant commercial area and ask: What would you like to see move into this area? If you know of an area you'd like to see highlighted, tell us in the comments.

This week we're taking a look at a vacant portion of St. Peters Commerce Center in the 4800 block of Mexico Road. The shopping center has businesses like ,  and Jim Hanifan's It's A Better Burger, but a stretch of the center is vacant.

If it were up to you, what would you like to see there? What do you think would best serve the St. Peters community in that spot?

Strip clubs similar to those in Brooklyn Ill. That is where this city is headed anyway. The board of alderman continue to push businesses in our community, bulldozing homes and green space only to have these businesses around for a few months and then go belly up and end up with vacant buildings. The economy can no longer support these massive strip malls with the signs of going out of business on their doors and windows. More bars and total nude strip clubs are the only businesses that can survive. There is always money for Bud and boobs.
