Four-Car Crash On Interstate 270 Injures Two

St. Peters resident Carrie Hashmi sustained minor injuries following a four-car crash in May.

A sustained minor injures following a four-vehicle crash on Northbound Interstate 270 on May 23. 

Carrie Hashmi, 33, was one of the four drivers involved in the evening rush hour crash. At about 5:15 p.m. three cars were heading north on I-270 in lane four. Hashmi slowed for traffic ahead when she was hit from behind by Richard Mullaney, 17, of High Ridge. Mullaney's 1997 Dodge Carvan then slide into the path of a third car, a 2009 Chevrolet Cobalt drive by Donna Lay, 57, of Florissant that had been traveling in the third lane.

The front of Lay's car hit the side of Mullaney's van. Meanwhile, Hashmi's vehicle was pushed into the front of a fourh car, a 1999 Ford F-150 drive by Shirlean Bostic-Harris, 52, of St. Louis. The front of Bostic-Harris's truck hit the side of Hashmi's car.

Hashmi and Bostic-Harris each sustained minor injuries in the crash. Maryland Heights Fire and EMS took both to Depaul Hospital. 

Hashmi, Mullaney and Bostic-Harris all sustained extensive damage to their vehicles. Lay escaped with moderate damage to her car.
