Fourth of July Fireworks: Where's the Best Place to Watch the Show?

The Fourth of July means a lot of different things to a lot of people. It's the birthday of the old U S of A, it's a day off work, it's a day to barbecue and, of course, it's a day for fireworks. 

When the sun goes down, the real show begins. Fireworks and the Fourth are a tradition that goes together like peanut butter and jelly. 

While firework shows around the area are being called off because of fire concerns, St. Charles County has made it through relatively unscathed. , , and Lake Saint Louis all have plans to light up the night sky during the Fourth. 

Growing up, I spent most of my Independence Days visiting my grandparents in Arkansas. My grandpa would grill up some delicious ribs and then we'd hit the boat to spend a day on the lake. When nightfall came, the whole family would sit on the dock and watch the show up above. This year, I'm going to have to find somewhere else to go.
