Green Committee Workshop Aims to Reduce Energy Costs

At 7 p.m. Tuesday the St. Peters Green Environmental and Solid Waste Advisory Committee will host a workshop teaching consumers tips to reduce energy costs.

Temperatures aren't the only thing that rises during the summer months. 

With the heat and the humidity hitting St. Peters, air conditioner's and fans will be getting a workout. Those appliances don't work for free. To help people learn to cut down on home-energy costs, the St. Peters Green Environmental and Solid Waste Advisory Committee is hosting a Home Energy-Efficiency Workshop at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, July 12, at .

The event is free and open to the public, however seating is limited.

The workshop is being presented by a Home Energy Auditor certified by the Department of Natural Resources, and will provide low-cost to no-cost solutions to energy savings. Following the presentation will be a question and answer session.
