Heat Pushes 'Ghostbusters' Inside St. Peters Rec-Plex South

With excessive heat in the forecast, St. Peters "Movie in the Park" will move indoors to the Rec-Plex South.

Fear of oppressive heat has forced the St. Peters "Movie in the Park" to find a new location.

The idea of sitting outside in near 100-degree weather to watch a movie doesn't sound to appealing—or safe—so the "Movie in the Park" is moving inside. This Friday beginning at 7:30 p.m., the city will be showing the 80s classic "Ghostbusters" for free. Instead of baking under the sun at the City Centre Amphitheatre, the movie will instead be shown indoors at the South.

Movie-goers can still bring lawn chairs or blankets to relax. Concessions will be available for purchase, but guests can may bring their own snacks or non-alcoholic beverages.
