Labor Day Holiday Will Close St. Peters City Hall, Delay Trash Service

Trash collection will be altered so city employees can take off work on Monday, Sept. 3, to celebrate Labor Day.

Monday is Labor Day and that means St. Peters will have holiday hours. Several city buildings will be closed and several will have unique hours.

As with most holidays,  and the will be closed on Sept. 3 to celebrate Labor Day. 

The  administrative offices and registration desk will be closed, but Rec-Plex visitors can ice skate and swim from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.

The Earth Centre composting center will be closed Labor Day, as well as Sunday. Recycle City, including aluminum can buy-back and trash acceptance, will close at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 1 and be closed Sunday and Monday, Sept. 2-3. The Recycle City Drop-Off area will remain open.

Trash collection will be changed to accomdate the holiday.Customers who normally have trash collection on Monday and Thursday will have trash service on Tuesday and Friday and yard waste collected on Thursday.

Customers who normally have trash collection on Tuesday and Friday will have trash service on Wednesday and Saturday and yard waste collection on Tuesday. White goods (appliances) with purchased tags will be picked up on Tuesday, Sept. 4.
