Main Street Resurfacing Project Moved Back to July 20

Road project in Old Town St. Peters was supposed to begin Monday, July 18, but will begin Wednesday, July 20, for extra road repairs.

The road resurfacing project on Main Street in Old Town St. Peters has been pushed back two days.

Originally slated to begin Monday, July 18, the road project will instead begin on Wednesday, July 20. City officials said that during the stripping of the original asphalt on Main Street, it was discovered that some repairs will be required below the road’s surface. The extra work will require excavation, which can’t take place until all utilities are marked through the Missouri One Call System.

The new resurfacing project will now run from July 20 until July 22, weather permitting.
