Meet the Candidates: Dolores Sherman Seeks Ward 1 Seat

Dolores Sherman is running against St. Peters Alderman John "Rocky" Reitmeyer for the Ward 1 seat.

Dolores Sherman is back again.

Despite losing to Dave Thomas in 2011, Sherman is back on the ballot and challenging John "Rocky" Reitmeyer for the Ward 1 seat.

Dolores Sherman: Candidate for Ward 1 Alderman

Where do you live? Ward 1.

What is your current job/position? Retired.

Why are you running for Board of Aldermen? Sherman's main goal for running for the Ward 1 seat is to make the city a chartered city.  

What relevant experience: Sherman said she worked for years as an investigative journalist, working with the Associated Press and other outlets. She also covered the first televised debates and and has experience in marketing.

Please tell us about one goal you have for this position: Sherman said she wants to end the "dynasty ruling" in St. Peters and make the city more accessible to the average citizen. 

What's one change you'd like to see in St. Peters during your term in office? Citing voter turnout, Sherman said she would like the residents of the city to be involved in, and care about, the works of the Board of Aldermen. She said with so many not voting or attending meetings, it gives the impression that people don't care, something she'd like to change.
