Mexico Road Paving Ready for Friday

Weather permitting, the paving project will begin at 7 a.m. on Friday morning.

The city of St. Peters is hoping the third time is the charm for the Mexico Road road paving project.

After because of rain, the paving project is back on—weather premitting, of course. Work is expected to begin at 7 a.m. on Friday morning.

The paving is part of the Mexico Road widening project. The southernmost eastbound lane on Mexico will be paved and the lane will be closed from 7 a.m. until 3 p.m. Drivers are encouraged to drive carefully through the work zone.

Expected to be complete in the spring, the Mexico Road Widening project will widen Mexico from four lanes to five lanes between Cross Trail Lane (just west of Grand Teton Drive) and McGavock Drive (St. Peters Post Office) and resurface the road in this area.
