Overseas Troops Send Holiday Love Home

National Guardsmen from St. Peters wish their families a happy holiday season while stationed overseas in Qatar.

The men and women of the Missouri National Guard spending the holidays away from home are using YouTube to send their greetings back to loved ones. 

Sgt. Jared Pruitt from St. Peters, thanked his wife and friends for their support while he is serving in Qatar.

“Thanks for all the care packages,” he said in his video. “Miss you tons. See you soon.”

Spc. Richard Jaycox, of St. Peters, wished happy holidays to his wife, daughter and “awesome” friends from Qatar.

Spc. Wesley Lohmeyer, also stationed in Qatar, had a holiday message for his St. Peters family.

“I miss them very much and I can’t wait to be back home with them,” he said in his video. “I hope they enjoy Thanksgiving and Christmas.”

Units currently deployed include the 175th Headquarters and Headquarters Detachment of the 175th Military Police Battalion of Columbia, the 2175th Military Police Company of Hannibal, the 1137th Military Police Company of Kennett, the 3175th Chemical Company of St. Peters, the 1138th Transportation Company out of Jefferson Barracks, the 548th Transportation Company of Trenton, Headquarters and Headquarters Detachment, 835th Combat Sustainment Support Battalion and Headquarters and Headquarters Detachment, 229th Multifunctional Medical Battalion, both of Jefferson City, and Missouri's Agribusiness Development Team V.
